Ashini uranium property, Godbout area
Québec
Ressources Appalaches holds a substantial land position with a combined 136 km2 in 11 uranium properties in Quebec.
Stripping operations at the Ashini property near Godbout have so far identified four zones of uranium mineralization over a north-south distance of 4.7 kilometres. These zones consist of a number of veins of uranium-bearing pegmatite. The grades of selected grabsamples range from 0.02% to 0.22% U. These four zones are parallel to a major geologic structure more than 70 kilometres in length, marked by a strong magnetic signature. All of these zones are open both laterally and in depth.
The geological model is compared with certain world class uranium deposits that contain mineable grades between 0.03 and 0.05% U3O8, such as the Rossing mine in Namibia.
